Formed in 1991, Rage Against The Machine contributed to develop métal music with a hip-hop touch. Zach de la rocha (vocal) and Tom Morello (Guitar) are the most defenders of this movement, based on controversy and rebellion.
They use their music to rage against a capitalist and individual system.
A lot of examples confirm this choice. After their album « Battle of L.A », they made a tour around the world. More, they gave their songs for the end of the movies Matrix. They also performed songs with Cypress Hill.
The group defend his position as anticorporatist and altermondialist. They think to be an alternative and a moderator of rébellion, in a world where inequalities are increasing.
