Let’s talk about music…..that sound that moves from the souls of your feet to our finger tips here we are… real rock n’ roll!!! That pure beat! playing concerts all over town… from Paris, France its… The Berniz!!! The Berniz is a psychedelic rock’n'roll band from Paris France, formed in 2007; result from the meeting of four students of the boarding high school St Martin De France, Val D’Oise. The Band was originaly composed of 5 musician, but later in late 2008 the third guitarist/vocalist left the band. At this point, the band really turn over and did something that we will really call ‘rock n roll’… Best friends before everything,The Berniz kick away a complicity without limit which feels the effects in their music, widely influenced by the counter-culture of the 60’s, but also from Jazz,Blues,Electro,Shoegaze,African music and many more… They were young and full of acid, and now they’re here for good vibrations.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (BRMC) is an American rock band from San Francisco, California, now based in Los Angeles. The band took his name from Marlon Brando’s film “The Wild One”. There is only 3 musicians in the band: Robert Levon Been on bass and vocal, Nick Jago on drum and Peter Hayes on vocal and guitar.

Peter Hayes used to be in the Brian Jonestown Massacre for the album Give It Back ! He was very young at this time. Indeed, he was 20 years old. After that he decided to create his own rock band. We can noticed that Hayes, loved the old school bands. We can see some of BJM, T-rex, Velvet Underground or the Rolling Stones in BRMC music style.

The first album “B.R.M.C” (2001), the second one “Take Them On, On Their Own” (2003) and the forth “Baby 81″ (2007) are the most creative of BRMC discography.

We can describe their sound as very dark, deep, folk revival, blues and also garage-psychedelic rock. They’re some of the band that loved 60’s and 70’s music. It’s a revival !

The Hub is a new band, founded recently by blues and rock lovers. Yarol and Hubert decided one day to join their talents in this group, after another collaborations with a lot of rock bands.

« A sleepless Night » is their first album. 12 amazing songs are the result of this work. Blues and rock are subtly mixed to give a typical atmosphere. Just a voice with a guitar and a cool beat are the best recipe. This alchemy, between rock and blues,  is accentuated by echoes from an harmonica.

    Enjoy the stroll !

    Crime Of The Century

Crime Of The Century is the third album of Supertramp, which came out in 1974.

If you aren’t surprise when you read the date, listen to the song below.

The original formation is : Roger Hodgson ( keyboard, guitar, vocal…), Rick Davies (vocals, keyboards, harmonica, saxophone…), John Helliwell on saxophone, Bob Siebenberg on drums and Dougie Thomson on bass.

How can i describe their sound ?

It’s a british band, almost every song of them are really melodious. It’s very shocking they succeed to make electronic and avant-gardism sounds despite of the year: 1974 ! That’s why we can say that they’re real genius !

The most famous songs of this album are Dreamer and School. But you’ve got to pay attention to Asylum, Bloody Well Right, If everyone was listening or the final eponymous song Crime of the century. The whole is awesome.

Moreover they’re very original in their musical structures! They’re also a very experimental band! In fact, I can’t do a very objective analysis. You’ve got to listen to it !

Moreover, we can noticed that this album have similarities with the famous band Pink Floyd. In particular with the drums.

    "VV" and "Hotel"

Blood Pressures is the forth album of the american-english  garage rock band The Kills. ON wednesday 6th, Alison Mosshart aka Alison “VV” et Jamie Hince aka Jamie “Hotel” rocked the world once again.

This gig is a total success!

Blood Pressures was a good surprise for everyone. On stage, this album is a mix between the first album Keep On Your Mean Side (2003) and the third one Midnight Boom (2008). The audience was literally burning ! After a long and boring opening by the london boys S.C.U.M, The Kills finally arrive and the show is on !

All the songs of Blood Pressures are deeply meanful like “The Last Goodbye” or “Wild Charms” but also very rock’n'roll like “Heart Is A Beating Drum” or “You Don’t Own The Road”. It’s actually good melting’ pot which keeps a perfect unity !

Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince are very charismatic. When she looks into the ground, it’s like if she were punching everyone ! While she’s singing like a sedated diva and doing the show, Mr Hince got the whole sound part under countrol !

Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve got here a Burning duo !

    Iggy Pop, Singer

Iggy Pop (born James Newell “Jim” Osterberg, Jr.; April 21, 1947) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and occasional actor. He is considered an influential innovator of punk rock, hard rock and other styles of rock music.

Iggy was lead singer/songwriter of influential protopunk/glam-punk band The Stooges and became known for his outrageous and unpredictable stage antics.

Osterberg began his music career as a drummer in different high school bands in Ann Arbor, Michigan. One band was the Iguanas, from the name of which he adopted his future moniker Iggy.

After exploring local blues-style bands such as the prime movers (with brothers Dan and Michael Erlewine), he eventually dropped out of the University of Michigan and moved to Chicago to learn more about blues.

Inspired by Chicago blues as well as bands like The Sonics and The MC5, he formed the Psychedelic Stooges and began calling himself Iggy. The band was composed of Iggy on vocals, Ron Asheton on guitar, Asheton’s brother Scott on drums, and Dave Alexander on bass.

The seeds of Iggy Pop’s stage persona were sown when he saw The Doors perform in 1967 at the University of Michigan and was amazed by the stage antics and antagonism displayed by singer Jim Morrison.

Morrison’s extreme behavior, while performing in a popular band, inspired the young Pop to push the boundaries of stage performance. Pop was the first performer to do a stage-dive which he started at a concert in Detroit. Other exploits of Pop include rolling around in broken glass, exposing himself to the crowd, and vomiting on stage.

The three best albums of the stooges are The Stooges (1969) and Fun House (1970)  and Raw Power (1973).

Robert Del Naja (a.k.a. 3D or “D”)  & DJs Grantley “Grant” Evan Marshall (a.k.a. Daddy G or “G”).

    Massive Attack

From the end of 80’s to 2010, Massive attack developped a new way of music.

Originally founded in Bristol, the 3 members developed a special type of music. At the beginning, the music is based on groove rythms and hip-hop influences.

After 90’s, artists moved their mind to perform songs in another direction. The key point is the ambiance which confers a new sense to the music. New instruments are recorded to give a sweet symphony. Consequently, the group is considered as a precursor of Tri-Hop music. They worked on a lot of movie’s musics. From “Snatch” to “Matrix”, they performed a lot of songs for original films. More, they manage designers who anime their clips and contribute to create a typical atmosphere.

Their last album, “Heligoland”, was recorded in 2010.
