Cannes Festival
Every year, during the two last weeks of May, the city of Cannes is invaded by film-makers and assaulted by thousands of photographers. It is in the Palais des festivals and Congresses, situated on the Croisette boulevard, that the main projections take place.
This year, the Cannes film festival will take place from 11 till 22 May.
Twenty movies are compétiton to pick up the Golden Palm.
The jury consists as every year of big personalities. For year 2011, Robert de Niro, Jude Law and Uma Thurman are invited in considered twenty movies competition.
